Death Cab continued to roll on through the Midwest last night with a show in Kansas City. Another great setlist, with “Brothers on a Hotel Bed” making appearance for only the third time this year, and also the super-rare “President of What?”. You Midwesterners are getting spoiled with all the best setlists!

Below, as usual, I’ve provided a full setlist and some videos from the show. Check back later today for some free downloads! I’m waiting for some decent audio to come out before I post anything. Stay tuned.

If anyone was there, give a shout and let us know how it was! And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for more info/downloads/videos for this show and others. Enjoy!

Leave it to Death Cab to make me eat my words. Just yesterday I complained that they didn’t mix up their setlist enough on this new leg of their tour. Well, they must have read my complaint because at last nights show in Illinois they played a set full of super-rare tracks that haven’t seen the light of day all tour, including “Blacking Out the Friction” and “St. Peter’s Cathedral”. They even threw in my personal favorite, “Title Track”.

Below, as usual, I’ve provided a full setlist from the show. Check back later today for some free downloads! I’m waiting for some decent audio to come out before I post anything. Stay tuned.

Last night on Carson Daly’s late night talk show (yeah, he still has his own show), he featured a couple videos from Death Cab’s recent show at LA’s Greek Theater. If you can manage to sit through Carson’s shameless product placement, check out the video to see the guys perform killer versions of “You Are A Tourist” and “New Year”. Enjoy.

Last night Death Cab played at the beautiful and historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. The guys have been on a roll ever since they hit the West Coast leg of their tour, treating Read Rock to another killer setlist (despite the absence of “Title Track” which you know I love all too much).

Below, as usual, I’ve provided a full setlist and some videos from the show. I’ve also ripped audio from a few tracks and made them available for download. Just click on the songs with links. Stay tuned for more free downloads!

Thankfully, the man who was first reported to be in critical condition is now recovering.

Last night I reported on the collapse of the main stage at the Ottawa Bluesfest after a sudden, violent storm. Unfortunately, Death Cab for Cutie’s 9:30 set was cancelled. But what’s more important is that all the guys and their crew are okay after this very scary accident. Nick Harmer probably summed it up best with his Tweet: “Seriously. What. The. Fuck.” Here’s here are some more things the members of the band had to say via Twitter about the incident:

Ben Gibbard:
“It was a miracle no one was killed today when the stage collapsed. Gear can be replaced, people can’t.”

“We will return to Ottawa and play a proper show as soon as our schedule permits.”

Nick Harmer:
“I am unsure of Cheap Trick band and crew status. I know people were trapped under the stage, could hear them screaming, nothing we could do.”

“The Mainstage at Ottawa Blues Fest collapsed on Cheap Trick. We were due on next. Show is cancelled. Huge tragedy… We’re all ok.

“I have never seen wind blow an entire stage flat. I’m in shock. All dcfc band and crew narrowly escaped disaster.”

Indie rock’s first couple have been quite the socialites lately. After mingling with Will and Kate the other day at the BAFTAs in LA, Ben and Zooey went out on the town again at the premiere of the new “Winnie the Pooh” film. Zooey contributed a song to the film’s soundtrack. Check out more pics here.
